NOTHING’S WHAT IT SEEMS

PROJECT: Tyler Nance - Nothings What It Seems (feat. Jackson Dean) (Official Music Video)

CLIENT: Santa Anna Records | Sony Music

ROLE: Creative Direction • Design • Animation

A lyric video for Tyler Nance’s “Nothing’s What It Seems,”. The brief was to create something similar to the Jonas Brothers’ “Backwards” video, which I had made using a gelli plate. Since creating everything with a gelli plate is pretty time-consuming, I decided to make some textures by hand and then recreate that look digitally. This way, I could keep the same handmade feel while making it work within their budget and timeline.
